When I moved to Astoria, Oregon, in 2002, I immediately set out to buy a book on its vast history. To my surprise, I discovered that no such book had been written. So I decided to write it myself.
“Astoria, An Oregon History,” published in 2008, was greeted enthusiastically by locals and tourists alike. I initially had a publisher, but they fell on hard times, and after the first printing were no longer able to keep the book in print. So I took over, and in 2010 Rivertide Publishing was born, and “A is for Astoria” was published. Both of these books are now in their 4th printing, and still going strong.
I had so much fun creating “A is for Astoria,” that I decided to do a similar book about Sunriver, Oregon. “S is for Sunriver” was published in 2014.
Since then, I have been busy assisting others with their own book projects. Some are available for sale (listed on this website), and others are personal memoirs to be given away to family and friends.
